Place all four 200mcg Misoprostol pills in the cheek pouches (2 on each side). Let the medicines melt for half an hour and consume the remains with a sip of water. You may also insert the 4 pills in the vagina near to the cervix, and lay down for 30 minutes so that the pills melt and get absorbed in the body. You may need 2 to 3 MTP Kits if the pregnancy is over 6 weeks and within 12 weeks.
MTP Kit Action Mechanism
The Mifepristone pill may not cause any noticeable side effects. However, it blocks the progesterone hormone and disintegrates the endometrial lining. The fetus and other pregnancy tissues detach from the implantation site (the uterine lining), and do not grow further, bringing an end to the conception. The uterine contents are then expelled via the Misoprostol administration. Misoprostol pills evacuate the womb by causing uterine contractions and widening the cervical opening. The conception parts pass through the vagina and heavy vaginal bleeding.
Managing MTP Kit Symptoms
Use large maxi-sized sanitary napkins for the bleeding. Avoid the risk of infection and bleeding blockage by not using menstrual cups and tampons. Maintain hygiene and change underpants regularly if soiled. Drink plenty of water and electrolyte water, fresh juice, but do not consume alcohol. Large blood clots and pregnancy tissue clumps exit is normal during the medical abortion. Do not forcefully pull out the pregnancy contents with any instrument. Take pain-relief medicine to manage abdominal pain. Or apply a hot water bag and heating pad to ease the cramps.
The common MTP Kit side effects are nausea, vomiting, tiredness, dizziness, and headache, all because of hormonal changes during the pregnancy termination. It also causes uterine contractions, leading to abdominal cramps and pain. You will also encounter heavy vaginal bleeding that removes pregnancy tissues, the sac, fetus, endometrial lining, etc. The bleeding helps flush out the uterine contents properly and reduces after the abortion procedure. You can consider the Abortion Pill Pack to avail of medicines to manage the side effects.
