Digital Security Guide

Guidance on Digital Safety for Healthcare Needs

We at EasyLifeOnPills believe in protecting your privacy with security protocols and measures installed on our platform. However, for external security threats not under our control, we do have a brief guide on how to secure your computer and phone. These digital security tips will limit the risks of leaking personal and sensitive information to others. Keep reading ahead.

1. Use our chat service.
You have decided to buy abortion pills online but want to keep others from this knowledge. Yet, you want a few trusted individuals to know about it and share your feelings. Similarly, if you want someone to know about the solution for ED, use our online chat service or WhatsApp us and convey what’s on your mind.

2. Search on Browsers That Value Privacy
Several popular search engines exist these days. However, not every option ensures privacy-enabled browsing. You can look for privacy extensions (DuckDuckGo, Firefox Focus, etc.) for the browser you use. This will disallow storing personal information whenever you search for abortion pills or erectile dysfunction medicines on the browser. Or, you can even check out Plan C.

3. Encrypted Email Provider for Sending Emails
When emailing any details and sensitive information, use an encrypted email provider. To take the security further, make sure the email participants are using an encrypted email provider as well. If sending any attachments or files, they can be password-protected (through a cloud service) for safety.

4. Turn Off Location Services on Your Device
If you are travelling or want to keep your location undisclosed, then turn off the location services on your phone and other digital devices. Doing so will protect your physical location from being detected. This is useful when looking for in-person care or hospitals, or just to access abortion aftercare and consultation for sexual health from a professional. If you find switching off the device more comfortable, you can even do so.

5. Download a Virtual Private Network (VPN)
You can download any popular and renowned VPN to hide your device’s IP address, whether on a shared WiFi network or public internet service. Certain VPNs also allow disabling ad tracking. It will help to encrypt traffic between the internet and the device. You can also access websites otherwise blocked for your location via a VPN. It is a beneficial safeguard against unwanted interception, tracking, and identity theft.

6. Disable Ad ID Tracking
For Android and iOS devices, you can limit data brokers and advertisers from keeping track of your information and profile. You can restrict the number of details they can have access to. Thus, you can protect yourself from unsolicited advertisements and fraudulent activities (enticing offers by scammers). If you own an iOS device, then access the Settings section. Go to Privacy and then ‘Tracking’. You will see ‘Allow apps to request to track'. Now, switch off the permission.

Similarly, to disable targeted ads on iOS devices, go to Settings, then from Privacy, select Apple Advertising, and switch off the permission for ‘Personalized Ads’. For Android devices, open the Settings app and go to Privacy, and then select Ads. Now, tap on ‘Delete advertising ID', and you will be directed to the next page. Tap again to confirm.
